Books that help you become an ML engineer

The books I recommend today for ML engineers in industry

I frequently get asked what books I would recommend to someone who’s trying to break into a machine learning job in industry. I wrote down my list of recommended ML books on the fantastic book list site created by Ben Shepherd. (While you are there, check out the “Random book list” feature on the top right — it’s a great rabbit hole for a gloomy, rainy day.)

In my original list, the fifth book was actually Reliable Machine Learning by Cathy Chen et al. But it hasn’t been officially published yet. If, by the time you are reading this, Reliable Machine Learning is out, read that instead. You definitely want a book on ML Ops to round out your knowledge.
